Badri Faragalla

Badri is originally from Sudan and is a dedicated community leader who is deeply committed to advancing dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for immigrants, refugees, and low-income community members. He works to promote civic participation, leadership development, and collective action that empowers community members to advocate for themselves and influence policies and systems that affect their lives.

Badri is passionate about creating welcoming communities where all people are treated with respect and have the opportunity to thrive. He brings valuable skills in community outreach, advocacy, relationship-building, and cross-cultural engagement. His leadership helps ensure that the voices and experiences of immigrant and low-income residents are represented in organizational decision-making and advocacy efforts.Badri is a compassionate and community-oriented individual who strongly believes in dignity, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all immigrants.

By bringing his 25+ years of experience working with NGOs (Oxfam, Sudan Development Organization, and USAID), Badri is motivated to serve with Immigrants Welcome Network of Johnson County to support newcomers in navigating resettlement challenges and building a sense of belonging.
