Become A Member: Build Power, Shape Change
The Immigrant Welcome Network of Johnson County is a membership-based organization where community members come together to build collective power and shape the decisions that impact their lives.
Our members are not just participants—they are leaders, organizers, and advocates working to advance housing, economic, and social justice in our community.
Membership At IWNJC
-
Membership is how we build power.
Through membership, individuals move from navigating systems alone to organizing collectively to change them. Together, we identify issues, develop strategies, and take action to create lasting change.
-
As a member, you can:
Participate in organizing campaigns and advocacy efforts
Engage with local and state decision-makers
Help shape the priorities and direction of the organization
Support outreach and bring new members into the community
Share your story and represent your community in public spaces
-
We invest in our members as leaders:
Members have opportunities to develop skills in public speaking, organizing, advocacy, and community leadership. Many of our leaders are individuals who first came to IWNJC for support and are now actively organizing and leading change in Johnson County.
Mentorship Opportunities:
You can also join our mentorship program to receive guidance and support from experienced mentors, or become a mentor yourself.
