Tamy is an international community builder and program coordinator passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, learn, and feel supported. Originally from Chile and now based in Iowa, she brings experience in event planning, education, and cross-cultural engagement and is involved in community building and international engagement. She has a background in Civil Industrial Engineering and is currently pursuing an MBA in Business Management.

She has led and created initiatives focused on improving the experience of international students, designing and organizing cultural, social, and educational programs that foster connection and belonging. Her work is shaped by her own experience living in different countries for both study and work, which has given her a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of adapting to new environments.

Tamy is passionate about inclusion, community, and creating spaces where people feel supported and connected. She is excited to contribute to the board by bringing a proactive, people-centered approach to its initiatives.
