Sally Hartman’s passion for aiding immigrants began during her career as a school psychologist and has since blossomed into volunteer work. As a long-time Iowa City resident, Sally has sponsored or co-sponsored nine refugees and is dedicated to immigrant support, assisting with paperwork, and tutor placements. She also plays a crucial role on two trauma response teams in her additional volunteer capacity.Nancy brings extensive experience in education, financial stewardship, critical analysis, and community engagement. She is an active member of New Song Episcopal Church, which is committed to welcoming and supporting newcomers in Johnson County. As Board Treasurer, Nancy provides financial oversight and governance support while advancing IWNJC's mission of empowering low-income immigrants and refugees through leadership development, community organizing, and advocacy.
