Board of Directors
Jasmine Tsai
Jasmine is a first-generation immigrant from Taiwan who has called Iowa City home since July 2020. She currently works as a Project Manager in the wind energy sector, where she oversees complex projects and collaborates with diverse teams across the country.
Growing up, Jasmine moved back and forth between Taiwan and the United States with her family. She vividly remembers the challenges of arriving in a new country—struggling with language barriers, adapting to an unfamiliar culture, and trying to find a sense of belonging. These lived experiences shape her deep empathy for newly arrived immigrant and refugee families.
As a board member of the Immigrant Welcome Network of Johnson County, Jasmine hopes to help families feel welcomed, supported, and empowered as they navigate their new lives in the U.S. She brings compassion, cross-cultural understanding, and a strong belief in community to her role.
